This basic muzzle buckles behind the head and prevents the mouth from fully opening, while still leaving the nose area open for easy breathing/panting. A slip muzzle is much less noticeable than a cage muzzle, and can be ideal for reactive dogs who are prone to either barking or nipping. Muzzles can also be useful for grooming applications such as bathing or nail clipping.
